Coxswain is a two-panel file manager in the Norton Commander tradition,
built for developers. The panels show git status for every file, the
function keys copy, move and delete, and archives (zip, 7z, tar) open
like folders.

It finds any file on the machine by name as you type, searches the text
inside documents (PDF, Office, e-mail, source code), and can search by
meaning with a small model that runs on the machine itself, or with a
local model server such as Ollama. Nothing leaves the machine unless the
user asks.

This port installs the terminal app, coxswain (also as cox), its manual
page, and an rc.d script that runs the search helper for one user.
